science + sound 2.0
Posters and postcards designed for UCLA’s Art | Science Center’s Science + Sound 2.0 Symposium. Science + Sound 2.0 Sypmposium is a 2-day event with sound artists, scientists and humanists exploring all kinds of vibrations, audible and inaudible. This extraordinary event will bring together leading figures to discuss the applications and implications of such research in relation to questions of culture, politics, history, environment, art, and music.
24” x 36” posters in white and black iterations
CREATION PROCESS
Since the symposium focused on the research behind sound and vibrations, I designed my own custom font inspired by sound waves. The custom font is designed to emphasize the layers and patterns created by vibrations and sounds.
TEXTURE
Tying into the concept of vibrations and sounds, I integrated sound vibration textures into the background to add depth and 3-dimentionality to the overall poster. Below is a close up view of the finalized poster used for the event.
