Every year the women employees at Youtube host a full day internal conference that showcases critical topics relevant to empowering women at Youtube. This year’s theme, Resilience, focuses on cultivating and celebrating the moments of perseverance within these womens’ personal and professional lives.
We created an identity system based around the meaning and celebration of resilience. The logomark, derived from the definition of resilience (the ability to recover quickly from difficulties and spring back into shape), is created with repetitive fluid lines that create a sense of elasticity and adaptability. These lines, accompanied with the typeface Adieu, are the core visual elements of this visual system. The result is a bold, playful and celebratory visual system that highlights the diverse experiences from the women at Youtube for a variety of collateral and environments
