Zijie’s 30 years

Zijie’s 30 years is personal art piece that documents a segment of my mother’s life in China near the tail end of the Cultural Revolution. This project follows her story in a series of interviews that shed light on the familial, societal and personal circumstances that she overcame in order to carve out a new path for herself in the U.S.
